Build like the legends of Apollo with Alpha Saturn V Maker Lab, a craftsmanship-focused Cadet Alpha program at Space Voyage Summer Camp! Inspired by the popular weeklong SaturnVMakerLab.us camp from last summer, this immersive 4-5 day experience teaches students to think like true craftsmen while constructing impressive paper and cardboard replicas of the iconic Saturn V rocket—the towering powerhouse that launched humans to the Moon.

You'll start with a detailed 40-inch model, mastering precision techniques, and—if time permits—tackle an even larger 7-foot version. All materials and tools are provided, with Doc Palmere and experienced staff serving as dedicated mentors, guiding you every step of the way.

Beyond the build, you'll discover essential life skills: using your strengths to overcome weaknesses, mastering time management, honing attention to detail, and learning the value of listening and absorbing knowledge from others. Projects that meet or exceed high standards of quality go home with you as a proud achievement; those needing improvement stay in the Space Voyage pavilion for rework until they're ready—ensuring every camper leaves with excellence.
