Space Voyage Alpha Programs

Cadet Alpha programs are immersive 4-5 day experiences that dive deep into a single space-related topic. These programs are ideal for students who want to enjoy the excitement of Space Voyage Summer Camp but may not be ready for (or interested in) the full Space Station Simulation, or who have a strong passion for one specific area of exploration.

In the summer of 2026, we are excited to offer the following Cadet Alpha programs: Alpha Saturn V Maker Lab, Alpha Artist, Alpha Learning Games, Alpha Food in Space, Alpha Inflatables, Alpha Kerbal 1 & 2

Eligibility: Students must be 9 years old or older to participate in Alpha programs.

Registration: To register for any Alpha program, simply sign up for Cadet Alpha for the desired week(s). We will follow up with you to gather additional information and help prepare for an amazing camp experience.

All Alpha programs are available during every week of camp.

A Bit of History...

Alpha programs have been a beloved part of Space Voyage Summer Camp since the mid-1990s. Unlike the more structured Cadet levels, Alpha programs are less rigid, emphasizing project-based expeditions that span the entire week. Students in Alpha programs should be comfortable with independent work and basic time management, allowing them to explore their chosen topic at a deeper, more personalized level.
